We are excited to share the latest updates in the shipping industry, providing valuable insights into current market trends and new services.
- More container Space and Better Booking (USWC)
Securing space for shipments has become more reliable compared to May and June, even at market spot rates. In July, extra loaders were added, existing service lanes resumed, and new lanes were launched for the US West Coast (USWC), further easing shipping order (SO) pressure:
- AWC: Taiwanese regional carrier TS Lines and SeaLead Shipping launched their Asia-US West Coast (AWC) service.
- MSC: Reactivated its Mustang service, connecting Yantian, Ningbo, Shanghai, and Long Beach.
- Zim: Launched the Central China Xpress (ZX2) service, connecting Shanghai, Ningbo, and Los Angeles.
- CMA CGM: Started a TGX ad hoc shuttle service on the Shanghai to Los Angeles route.
- Shipping to the US East Coast (USEC):
There are fewer extra ships for the US East Coast right now. However, Wan Hai plans to add more extra ships for the US East Coast in early August.
- Equipment at Origin
Equipment at the origin is limited but manageable. We have not seen any booking cancellations due to equipment shortages. Origins covered include: Yantian, Shanghai, Xiamen, Ningbo, Tianjin, Ho Chi Minh (VNM-HCM), Laem Chabang (THL-LCH).
